Joinery by AB Conservatories Ltd
See some examples of Joinery by AB Conservatories Ltd - trading as AB Conservatories - based in Tadley, Hampshire is owned by Andy Brown (not to be confused with any similar sounding companies).
We asked AB Conservatories Ltd to convert an existing window into a set of internal French doors between the conservatory and the house, see the Design page for details. They were to be an oak frame, with oak doors.
AB Conservatories Ltd installed an external door frame from Wickes, complete with a sill at the bottom
Note that the door jamb isn't installed vertically (shown by the spirit level), and therefore impossible to hang a door correctly.
NOTE: The build was done with Building Regulations approval and we did not need to keep an external door between the house and conservatory as is often the case.

An external door sill was installed, which meant there was a large step to negotiate when moving from the house to the conservatory.
Furthermore, the screws used to attach the frame/jambs to the wall were not flush.
It's normal practice to countersink the holes, and then fill with a plug the same colour as the frame or use wood putty.

The Solution as Provided by a Carpenter
A properly installed door frame. Here you can see the same doorway in the house after a carpenter removed the oak frame and replaced it with a pine frame.
As it's an internal door, the carpenter has used an internal door frame.
All the screws used to attach the frame/jambs have been countersunk and covered with wood putty.
Note there is no step/trip hazard between the house and the conservatory, perfect for when you have small children.
