Guttering by AB Conservatories Ltd
See some examples of guttering by AB Conservatories Ltd - trading as AB Conservatories - based in Tadley, Hampshire is owned by Andy Brown (not to be confused with any similar sounding companies).
The design called for the Box Gutter and the conservatory gutter to be connected to the existing roof gutter system at the left elevation.
This is shown in the diagram to the left.
Due to Copyright issues, I am unable to show the line drawings done by Mark Smyth. However, the plans can be found on the Waverley Borough Council website.

This is the gutter in real life after AB Conservatories Ltd had installed the new guttering and downpipe. It looks strange having square and round downpipe used next to each other.
You can also see the mortaring done by AB Conservatories Ltd at the top of the page. |
This photo shows the same guttering from a different angle. The existing house gutter is on the left hand side. It's been broken and has no end cover on it. All the rain water just drained on to the floor...

The Solution - By a Competent Fitter
The contractor remedied the guttering solution by combining the two existing down pipes into one. This solution is far more aesthetically pleasing.

The solution is far tidier and looks good. This is the same gutter taken from a different angle.
You can also see the brick wall is continuous now and no water can ingress into the conservatory. Unlike the original work as seen at the top. |
